Open Space and the Sailing Community features on this weeks show!

This Sunday Marktwain White Owner of 25 sims, Coordinator of the United Sailing Sims (130 sims), Founder of Starboards Yacht Club, Founder of Holly Kai Golf Course, host of SAIL ON (SLCN.TV) joins Tonight Live to talk about how he helped create the Open Space Sims and how the latest announcement of price change and product change will affect the Sailing community and other communities that rely on the existing Open Space product to survive. From all accounts this latest Offer from Linden Labs leaves the entire Sailing community scrambling for ideas with how they will survive this offer. It seems the incredibly popular sport of Sailing is now seriously at risk of dying, putting many people out of their homes and taking away a very creative and community building sport. Mark is known for his candidness so we expect some hard hitting facts and quite an insight into the negotiations that led to this latest policy change.

We also feature a really wonderfull Singer Musician this week Blu Ducrot a Multi Instrumentalist. You can hear him here on myspace

IBM are one RL company that are taking virtual worlds particularly Second Life seriously recently they launched This Sunday we talk to Boris Frampton IBM Virtual Events Manager who runs events for the IBM Business Center in Second Life, and also runs his own live to the internet chat show. What is it about Second Life that has kept IBM from leaving like so many other Real Life businesses?

To be part of our LIVE Audience in world go to here the Studio is always open!

Macbeth! Ballet and Hathead Rickenbacker

Last weeks show if you stayed for the live taping was an example of how hard setting up sound in Second Life can be! we were an unprecedented 45 mins late in starting! incredible that most of the audience stayed if they could! thanks to those who could spare the time. Since that show we are changing some of our set ups so that hopefully that will never happen again. We can’t account for crashes and technically doing Television in SL is full of buggs…but I think we are due for a smooth flowing show. The Ballet was certainly something to see! and came up really well on the video really really pretty, to see an entire production of the “Nut” will really be something. Innarra bless her was really ill with a bad cold, but soldiered on for the sake of her dancers and we thank your for her incredible patience and the dancers also. Lagg takes on an entirely new meaning when you have to dance in it :) Hathead Rickenbacker our Jazz/funk musician of the evening did a really wonderfull toe tapping improv which was Jazz/funk/hiphop and again 10 mins was not long enough to really talk to this very interesting man. Anya Ixchel was a really facinating interview, a Professor in RL and one of the team that has brought Second Life its Macbeth sim which is just the most extraodinary Sim! go see it if you haven’t and watch the show to find out all the little things you might miss ….The pics don’t do it justice!

Loved this episode the guests as one audience member said were all sooo facinating and interesting to hear.

Tonight Live with Pianos

Tonight Live with Pianos, originally uploaded by Paisley Beebe.

What a Fun Show! Sue Stonebender brought in a slew of Pianos for us to play with and although I look quite professional here…I can’t play a damn thing in RL. Sue was very embarrassed to show us her first effort at building a piano in Second Life but let me tell you it was a damn good first effort!
We started the show off with the very handsome Nexeus Fatale who really was a Male Fatale..He did try to charm me but…I still manage to quiz him why the Music scene didn’t figure much in this Years SLCC…we also talked about next years Community Conference how the selection process for where it might be held is judged…hmmmm Sydney I think is still way out of the question unfortunately for moi!

It was really wonderfull to have Sue Stonebender on the show, Sue is notoriously shy in Second Life but let me tell you she owned that stage! you’d never know. We found out about her efforts to run a successful business, and talked about her business partner Baron Grayson the man behind the amazing Sim Relic! who has been her greatest influence and closest friend here in Second Life, another reclusive and incredibly talented Second Lifer Baron Grayson wouldn’t come on Tonight LIve (he is way too shy) but Sue talked enough about him that I guess that will do :) And..he came to the show to support his friend and partner Sue His Avatar I have to say is indeed a work of art also!…he certainly lived up to his reputations

And boy was Matthew Perrault an incredible find for all of us this week. He played us a tune from his brand new Album, titled February. The Album which I only heard for the first time this Week blew me away so much I bought the entire 17 track album after only hearing 4 songs, its an incredible Album worthy of a Grammy!!! Matthew has incorporated some wonderfull narratives into the Album which take the music beyond the turntable and into a docu Album as he puts it, it is truly a time Capsule of our era, you must must must hear it. Go here to do so! http://februarythealbum.com/

Go to www.slcn.tv to watch the show! it will be up on Monday
